Stubbling out of the alley where he awoke, staying close to an adjacent building, Avicus tried to collect his barrings. Up and down the street were merchants selling odd nick-nacks and weaponry. To make himself look less suspcious, Avicus started down the street trying to blend in with the other species looking for knock-offs. Walking through the throng of people, Avicus searched for some sign of where he was without any luck. He turned the corner to head down another street to try and find some sort of landmark that would tell him where he is. He was coming to another bend when he noticed a silver-coloured gun. He quietly walked up to the end of the table where he picked up the gun. Avicus knew he needed a more efficent weapon than a knife. Turning his head, Avicus noticed the table across the street was selling swords. Gently pushing his way through the crowd, he took one of the hand-and-a-half swords that was lying on the table. He twirled it around, just to try it for size. Then something caught his eye. In a black sheath was a 7 1/2 foot long katana. He asked he see it, and couldn't help but fall in love with the blade. You could see the folds in the metal, the light reflected off the blade as if the sun exploded from the heavens. He touched the blade, and his fingers began to sting. He saw smoke rise from his fingers. He took a quick look around to see if anyone else noticed. No appeared to be looking at him, and he quickly paid for the sword. Quickly stepping into a side alley, Avicus strapped the sword around his back and put the jacket on that was in the duffle bag. Looking around, he saw no one watching him and started down the street once more.

((Hey there! Nice to find a topic running... This might be a bit hard to reply to, but I'm sure we can figure something out.))
Arez Smythe was exploring. Just a few months ago, this would have filled him with so much satisfaction and glee. Getting lost in some pretend world never stopped being interesting when he'd been in prison. But, now, he was free. He could wear what he wanted, do whatever he wanted, and not have to worry about death being a response to every action. He never realised freedom would be so boring, or frightening in all the options.
Sighing, the olive-skinned teen brushed the long black hair over his shoulder. Maybe, it would actually be interesting if he had someone to talk to. Someone blonde, with purple eyes, a cruel sense of humour, and a strangely adorable giggle...
"Lao doesn't remember you," he reminded himself with a scowl. Crossing his arms over his chest, he glanced over the nearby weapons with sudden fascination. Scoffing, he shook his head, kicking the ground, muttering to himself. "I can't do that, I'm not supposed to be violent... I'm meant to be, a saviour." He turned and walked down an alley. "But I can't stay silent, and watch the world's... misbehaviour." Realising he'd just been rhyming, Arez slapped his hands over his mouth, before letting out a frustrated groan. "Leave me ALONE!" he cried, kicking the alley wall. "I DON'T WANNA SING, DAMMIT! Life isn't a musical!"
As he slumped against the wall, Arez's long black hair fell forward, covering his face. "Musicals have happy endings..."
The fact that he just made a very loud scene really only appealed to Arez more. It was nice to get looked at, even if they were looks questioning his sanity.

Avicus was stridding down the main street, filled with more merchants and even more buyers. He noticed a kid run away from a merchant with a knife. The merchant cursed and yelled at the boy. The boy ran, looking back at the merchant and laughing. He continued running, right into Avicus. He picked the boy up before he accidently pierced him with the knife. Avicus glared at the boy, took the knife from him and let him continue on his run down the street. He returned the knife to the merchant and heard a cry from an alley. Avicus carefully turned down the alleyway. He noticed a man with long, black hair talking to himself, looking distraught. Avicus moved a little closer to the man, to see if he was talking to anyone else down the way. He saw no one and ventured a little closer. "Are you alright?" Avicus asked. He did however have himself turned that if he needed a quick exit, one was possible.

"No," Arez replied, not at all surprised that a stranger would talk to him. He was, after all, 'divinely sexy' (as he used to always say), and a siren. He glanced up at the stranger, suspiciously. "Are you working for Crow?" he asked, mismatched grey and blue eyes narrowed. "Cos if you are, you can just... piss off, or something, I don't know, but I hate Crow!"

Avicus was not completely surprised that the man said there was nothing wrong, and he was about to walk back onto the street when the man asked him a question. Avicus turned back around to see the man staring at him with half-lidded eyes. And he spoke a name, that for some reason, seemed to trigger something in him. Crow, why is that name bothering m........ He didn't even need to finish his sentence. He wirled around, and stode towards the stranger, close to hysteria now. "Tell me about this Crow. Please! Where is her, who is he? I must now! Does this look like his writing? Maybe you recognize the signature!" Avicus furiously ripped the piece of paper from he pocket, and nearly threw it at the man. He needed answers, and right now he was too too far gone to think things through. What if this Crow wasn't the writer. But it was too late, and just after he handed the letter over to the man, Avicus regretted saying anything.

Arez couldn't help but pout. "It's Crow HIATSUI," Arez replied, emphasising the surname. "But that's a stupid surname, cos it's obviously Japanese and he's FRENCH, so it's a fake name anyway but apparently he's used it since before he was a real person, so, whateeever." His scowl deepened. "And I don't know why everyone's so obsessed with him! He's not that GREAT, unlike ME! I can completely control everyone in the world just like -" he snapped his fingers "- and everyone freaks out over Crow goddamn Hiatsui, just cos he's oh-so-cool with his blood eyes and dreadlocks and bondage pants and telling me I'm not allowed to wear leather or go home and that I have to leave Lao behind! Who does he think he is?! Okay, yeah, Angel of Time, but WHATEVER!" He glanced at the note, or more like glared. "I don't KNOW his handwriting, he always told me what to do in that ice-cold monotone and then he was all affectionate and clingy with Lao which is messed up cos Lao isn't HIS, Lao was gonna be MINE, then he had to make me go and DITCH!"
Now deflated, Arez boredly asked, "Does that tell you enough?"

Avicus was speechless. He was exhausted like he had hiked a mountain. He should have known that his search wouldn't end that easily. Avicus smacked his head into the wall, it should have surprised him that he didn't hurt his head, or that there was now a sizable indent where his head had smacked the wall. He let his body slide down the wall where he sat on the ground, with his head in hands. He sat there, and glanced up at the stranger. Avicus got up, brushed himself off. "I guess that answers my question. Thanks anyways." He turned and headed back toward the mainstreet to continue his search. Somewhere, someone knew who this 'C' was, and he needed to find him, or at least someone who knew how he got here.
