As far as he could tell there was no one else here. He took slow, measured steps. This place seemed familiar to him for some reason. He hated not being able to answer his own questions as to who he was and how he got here. He had wandered the streets for hours, with nothing to show for it except his new sword. He looked around to get a grip on his surroundings. There were wooden training swords, lances, and clubs hanging on the wall. Shields, spears and dull, rusted blades. Opposite the weapons were wooden platforms, with stuffed dummies nailed to posts. Even from the far side of the area, Avicus could clearly see the stray stinging out of previous slash marks and torn seems. Everything was so crisp and clean in his vision it hurt to look at anything for too long. His sense of smell was also peaked. This usually only happened when he was about to get a cold. Avicus took off his coat and rested it on one of the empty weapons hook. He removed his sword in one easy, fluid motion. Letting the sothing feel of a hild in his hand once more. He started with a few simple warm up excersies that he knew off by heart. A flash of faint memory came to him, a boy twirling a stick. Widdled down to the smooth cambian layer by a skilled hand. Avicus gradually making the twirls more difficult by adding wrist flicks, and alternating hands in mid-sequence. He let his body flow with the movement of the blade, feeling every tenion tighten, flexing the muscle beneath his tissue. Avicus closed his eyes, listening to the faint sounds of the blade cut through the air, the skin of his hand connecting with the leather and cord bound hilt. His breath whistling out of his lungs, at an increased rate, but steady. He increased the speed of his twirling, keeping his upper arms tense, torso loose. The balls of his feet planted firmly in place, letting his feet pivot as his body moved with the blade. As his sword breath increased, as did his heart-beat. He felt different muscles then those were typically used in this exercise. Keeping his eyes closed, Avicus felt his muscles move, listened to his breath and the blade whistling through the air. His body moved faster and faster until he came to the climax of his exercise. His hair stood on end, the muscles in his back burned and throbbed, a fierce growl erupted through his jaws. He eyes flew open, and his hands sent the sword flying through the air where it impaled in the middle dummy, making the stray figure bounce back and forth on its post. Avicus's jaw started to ache, and his breathing started to slow. He stretched out his back and arms. It felt like every nerve in his body had been fired at once. He was gittery and could have sworn he was hovering his the air, his body was vibrating so much. He walked over to the dummy and was shocked to see that the blade was all the way through the dummy and the post it was nailed to. He was standing across the area and somehow he had created enough force to impale the thick wood. "Woah." Was all he could manage to say. He pulled the blade out of the wood, with some difficulty. He put his food on the platform and pulled until he and the sword tumbled onto the sand. Avicus sat there wiping the sweat from his forehead and staring at the dummy. He should have known that his search wouldn't end that easily. Avicus smacked his head into the wall, it should have surprised him that he didn't hurt his head, or that there was now a sizable indent where his head had smacked the wall. He let his body slide down the wall where he sat on the ground, with his head in hands. He sat there, and glanced up at the stranger. Avicus got up, brushed himself off. "I guess that answers my question. Thanks anyways." He turned and headed back toward the mainstreet to continue his search. Somewhere, someone knew who this 'C' was, and he needed to find him, or at least someone who knew how he got here.
